    References to “we”, “us” and “Enterprise Ireland” shall apply to any office in the organisation that is processing your Personal Data.   

     

    We are the trade and innovation agency of the Irish Government and we invest in and support the development of Irish-owned companies on their journey to achieving greater scale and to become global leaders in their field. This provides a platform for strong economic growth and creating and sustaining jobs in communities around the country. Our teams in Ireland and across our network international offices help Irish companies to develop high-growth strategies and to enter new markets with innovative and sustainable solutions.

     

    We need to process Personal Data to provide our services. We are committed to protecting the personal data rights of individuals in accordance with global data protection legislation including the General Data Protection Regulation in Europe (the “GDPR”). 

     

    Personal Data” means data which identifies a person or could identify a person, such as their name, contact details and financial data. It applies to Personal Data that we process in connection with your relationship with us as a client or prospective client, buyer, supplier, partner, academic, researcher, advisor, consultant, mentor, board member, committee member, visitor to our website, grant or funding applicant/beneficiary or prospective employee.

     

    Every individual has a right to understand how their Personal Data is being used and to exercise control over it using data protection rights which are set out in the GDPR.  Our Data Protection Statement seeks to ensure that you know:

     

    • what Personal Data we collect from you
    • what we are doing with your Personal Data
    • that we will only use your Personal Data for the purposes set out in our Data Protection Statement
    • your rights, and how you can exercise control over your Personal Data

     

     

    We make the following commitments. We will:

     

    • always ensure that we only share your Personal Data with third parties where absolutely necessary and with appropriate safeguards in place
    • ensure appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect your Personal Data and keep it secure

     

     

     

    THE STRUCTURE OF OUR DATA PROTECTION STATEMENTS 

     

    For ease of use, Enterprise Ireland has split its Data Protection Statements into three separate statements as follows:

     

    • Our Data Protection Statement for EI Funding, Investment & Support Services describes how we process Personal Data of funding applicants and beneficiaries.
    • Our General Data Protection Statement describes how we process Personal Data of all individuals who are not grant applicants/beneficiaries or prospective employees. These include, buyers, suppliers, partners, academics, researchers, advisors, board members, committee members and visitors to our website.
    • Our Recruitment Data Protection Statement informs candidates who are applying for jobs with Enterprise Ireland how we process Personal Data through our employee selection process.
