How can we help?
As the Nordic region cements its position as one of Europe’s most attractive locations for digital infrastructure, Irish project and cost management consultancy GagaMuller has established a permanent presence in Finland, bringing a data led model built around governance, programme certainty and real-time project intelligence to some of the region’s most complex developments.
Founded in 2018 by Paddy Ryan and Thomas Gillen, GagaMuller was created with a clear ambition: to combine deep construction expertise with advanced data capability in order to give project owners greater control over capital-intensive builds.
Since then, the company has grown rapidly across Europe, supporting data centre owners and developers on large-scale, high-value programmes where schedule discipline, cost control and commissioning certainty are critical.
In 2025, GagaMuller formally opened its Helsinki office, marking a long-term commitment to the Nordic market. “We didn’t see the Nordics as a one-project opportunity,” says Managing Director Timmy Falvey. “We saw it as a strategic region where digital infrastructure investment will continue for decades. To support that properly, you need local presence backed by international delivery experience".
The Nordic region offers renewable energy capacity and strong engineering capability, all attractive fundamentals for hyperscale and co-location developers. But the complexity of delivery remains significant.
“These are capital-intensive programmes with aggressive timelines,” says Project Director Patrick Nicholson, who leads the Helsinki office. “Owners need more than reporting, they need full visibility across cost, schedule, procurement and commissioning in real time, so that decisions are made early rather than after issues emerge.”
GagaMuller acts primarily on behalf of data centre owners, integrating project management, cost management and programme controls into a single governance structure. Central to its approach is a live digital backbone that consolidates schedule data, commercial reporting, procurement tracking, inspection test plans and commissioning progress into an integrated dashboard environment.
“Our purpose is simple,” Patrick explains. “We empower organisations to build with data. That means using live project information to drive certainty, not relying on historic templates or disconnected spreadsheets.”
The pace of data centre construction continues to accelerate across Europe, placing pressure on supply chains, skilled labour and commissioning resources. GagaMuller’s leadership team believes that disciplined governance and structured programme controls are becoming as important as engineering design itself.
“With the scale of projects now coming forward, the challenge isn’t just technical delivery, it’s ensuring that capital is protected, risks are identified early and supply chains are coordinated effectively,” Timmy says. “International experience combined with strong understanding of local codes and working practices is essential.”
The company’s expansion into Finland was supported by Enterprise Ireland, whose Nordic team provided market insight and strategic introductions during the early stages of market entry.
“We wanted to approach expansion methodically,” Timmy explains. “Enterprise Ireland helped us validate the opportunity, understand the landscape and connect with key stakeholders. That support gave us confidence to invest in building a permanent presence rather than operating remotely.”

Today, GagaMuller operates from hubs in Dublin, Cork, London and Helsinki, delivering programmes across multiple European jurisdictions. The firm sees the Nordic region as a cornerstone of its broader European growth strategy.
“There is strong alignment between the Nordic market and our approach,” Patrick says. “There is an emphasis here on quality, sustainability and long-term thinking. Our model of structured governance, disciplined programme controls and integrated digital reporting fits naturally into that environment.”
Looking ahead, GagaMuller expects continued demand for greater transparency and predictive insight as projects increase in scale and complexity.
“At any point in time, we can interrogate live project data to understand what is happening, what the knock-on effects may be and where intervention is required,” says Patrick. “That proactive capability is increasingly vital on fast-track digital infrastructure programmes.”
For Timmy, the company’s trajectory reflects a broader shift within the construction industry.
“Data centres power the digital economy,” he says. “It’s fitting that they are delivered through a model built on real-time data, intelligence and disciplined execution. For us, this is about building long-term partnerships in the Nordic region, and continuing to scale our European platform with the right foundations in place.”
