CJK Electricals’ Sustainability Strategy

Company Overview

CJK Electrical is a leading specialist in electrical mechanical, and instrumentation engineering, with over 26 years’ experience serving clients across the data centre, industrial, health, educational, pharmaceutical, public and commercial sectors.

Project Objectives

Since March 2024, the CJK Electrical team are working with a consultant to align the business with Ireland’s Climate Action plan. This has involved creating an ESG committee and defining an initial strategy that balances People, Planet and Profit.

In summary, the activities included: 

• Development of an internal task force to complete the initial strategy
• Undertook learning and development activities
• Sought global expert advice
• Conducted a materiality assessment

Results

The benefits of the approach have led to:

• Enhanced sustainability awareness and capabilities thanks to Learning and Development activities
• Analysis of over 2,000 data points leading to a comprehensive sustainability baseline, enabling the company to identify improvement areas and launch targeted initiatives 
• Engagement with stakeholders to shape a Green Transition Strategy aligned with expectations, increasing trust and commitment.
