The expansion is expected to deliver up to €28 million in annual direct economic contribution to the Irish economy.

Origina specialises in independent software support and maintenance, for enterprise software from vendors including IBM, HCL, and VMware.  Origina’s ambitious growth plan will allow the company to scale globally, with Ireland as its centre for future growth. The new roles will span disciplines including software engineering, security, data and AI, and enterprise technology operations, reinforcing Ireland’s position as a hub for high-value technology talent.

Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke TD welcomed the jobs announcement, The government and Enterprise Ireland are committed to supporting and accelerating the scaling of ambitious, innovation-led Irish companies. Today’s announcement not only represents significant job creation within the Irish market and excellent opportunities for our homegrown talent, but it also reinforces our position as one of the largest and most important tech hubs in Europe. I would like to commend Origina on this milestone expansion and their continued investment in Ireland, which I’m confident will underpin further growth for the company while supporting our economy.”

Minister of State with responsibility for Small Business, Retail and Employment, Alan Dillon TD, said, “I would like to congratulate Origina, on this significant expansion. A huge achievement for a home-grown Irish company, demonstrating that Enterprise Ireland supported companies are competing and succeeding internationally while continuing to invest at home.”

Tomás O'Leary, CEO of Origina, said, “I am delighted to announce Origina’s significant expansion in Ireland, with the creation of 350 new jobs at our new global headquarters in Dublin, made possible with the support from Enterprise Ireland. This investment in our Irish operations reflects our ambition to grow and scale the company over the next five years. I’m incredibly proud of the team and the innovation, dedication and ingenuity they bring as we continue on this growth journey.”

This announcement was made in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland’s End of Year Results for 2025 which confirms that total employment at companies supported by the agency increased to 232,425 last year with 12,608 new jobs created. 69% of the new jobs created in these client companies were located outside the Dublin region with all nine regions recording jobs growth.

Origina – New HQ and product launch for 2026

Origina today is also announcing investment in a larger, technology-forward Dublin office based in Sandyford, which will serve as a central hub for product development, innovation, and collaboration. Ireland will continue to act as Origina’s strategic base for delivering services and innovation to enterprise customers globally, supporting the company’s continued growth across Europe, North America, and other international markets.

As part of its continued investment in innovation, Origina has also just launched a world-first predictive software security product, that helps enterprises stay ahead of emerging vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Powered by a proprietary AI engine built on Origina’s deep expertise supporting mission-critical enterprise software, the solution moves security from reactive patching to predictive prevention, cutting security and compliance risk at the source.

By shifting vulnerability management upstream, the product enables organisations to put reasonable, proportionate preventative controls in place across complex and mature environments where traditional patching falls short, while supporting evolving EU and UK expectations for cyber resilience and operational continuity.

"This launch underscores Origina’s security-first approach and our focus on applying AI where it delivers real impact,” said Tomás O'Leary, CEO of Origina. “As scrutiny around operational resilience increases, enterprises need solutions that reduce risk before incidents occur. This product will be available to all our customers from March.”

Enterprise Ireland End of Year Results

Companies supported by Enterprise Ireland now employ 232,425 people. The jobs growth translates into a net increase of 2,938 jobs created.

Enterprise Ireland directly invested almost €50 million in equity leveraging a total of €440 million in 2025. Individual Enterprise Ireland investments ranged from €100,000 to €2 million, reflecting the agency’s new investment strategy. This approach moves beyond early-stage funding to multi-stage investing, enabling larger funding rounds and providing greater support for scaling companies.

Each of Enterprise Ireland’s three main sectoral divisions recorded jobs growth with Food and Sustainability now employing 69,295 people (0.6+%), Industrial and Life Sciences employing 101,747 (2.0+%) and Technology & Services employing 61,383 people (0.8+%).

Climate Tech & Renewable Energy performed strongly, with employment increasing by 6.5 %. The housing sector saw employment increase by 4.0% and employment in the High-Tech Construction sector increased by 2.5%.  The Fintech and Financial Services sector grew by 4.9% in 2025.

Minister Burke continued, “The results announced today by Enterprise Ireland are indicative of a resilient Ireland that, despite huge global challenges, remains an attractive base for businesses to start, grow and scale. The increased level of funding by Enterprise Ireland demonstrates that long-term investment delivers sustainable growth and ultimately the creation of high value jobs across the country. As geopolitical uncertainty continues to dominate global trade relations, it is vital that we put in place the solid foundations for a diversified economy, and the roll out the Governments five-year National Development Plan supports this critical agenda.”

Speaking at the event, Minister Dillon said, “Today’s results announced by Enterprise Ireland allow for optimism. Set against the backdrop of tariff uncertainty over the last 12 months, the jobs growth of 69% across the regions is particularly heartening. Regional development is a core focus of this government and through targeted investment in local enterprise as set out in our recently launched capital investment plan, we will ensure that businesses in every part of Ireland can grow and succeed.”

Commenting on the results, Jenny Melia, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, said:Irish businesses have faced an extraordinary series of global shocks in recent times and today, we continue to operate in an environment of shifting global trade dynamics. Time and again, our resilient Irish businesses have shown an ability not just to withstand disruption, but to respond with agility, determination and ambition. These figures demonstrate the strength and adaptability of Irish businesses in a challenging global environment. Enterprise Ireland will continue to support companies in achieving sustainable growth and creating high-quality jobs across all regions.

One of our key priorities for the next year and beyond is to support the ambition of Irish entrepreneurs to help them to scale globally. The integration of AI as a growth engine for Irish exporters and start-ups will play a big part of this. According to our recent client survey, nearly nine in ten (87%) of our client base are already integrating or planning to integrate AI into their business operations, with two-thirds believing AI and digitalisation will be critical in winning future international business.

Origina, announcing 350 new jobs today, is a great example of an ambitious, Irish company growing customers through continuous innovation and I commend them on the launch of their new predictive security product and we look forward to continuing to support them on their growth journey.”
