New Customs and Tariff Training Course Launched to Support Exporting SMEs

The Irish Exporters Association (IEA) and Enterprise Ireland (EI) are delighted to announce a new unique training partnership, focused on supporting companies to build their exporting capabilities. 

 

The courses, which are conducted by industry leading experts and trainers, are designed to help companies navigate the complex challenges of the current export trading environment, and will enable Enterprise Ireland companies access a range of IEA courses at a reduced rate. 

 

These courses will help exporting businesses build and enhance their exporting capabilities, and support them to get a better understanding of addressing the challenges presented by new tariff and customs regulations.

 

Course Highlights include:

 

  • Understanding Customs Regulations: Participants will learn the latest customs procedures and regulations to avoid delays and penalties.
  • Tariff Management: The course will provide strategies to manage tariffs effectively and reduce costs.
  • Practical Insights: Industry experts will offer practical insights to streamline import/export processes.
  • Interactive Sessions: Attendees will engage in interactive sessions and case studies to apply their learning in real-world scenarios.

 

Commenting at the announcement, Simon McKeever, CEO of the IEA, said, "We are pleased to partner with Enterprise Ireland on this important initiative. The global trading landscape has undergone dramatic changes and continues to evolve at a rapid pace. These tailored courses are designed to give exporters the crucial technical know-how and practical tips they need to handle the challenges of today’s market.   

 

Jonathan McMillan, Head of the Trade and Tariffs Response Working Group, Enterprise Ireland said: “There is little doubt that the global trading situation has shifted for many companies. Irish businesses need to identify and prioritise key actions they can implement, in order to mitigate against any potential risks and take advantage of new market opportunities. Engaging in courses like these will support companies to build their core trading capabilities, strengthen their strategic plans and grow international trade.
