72 new jobs announced as part of ambitious growth plans
ICS Medical Devices, a leading catheter design & manufacturing services provider, today announced that it plans to create 72 new jobs by 2028. The new roles will be across engineering, human resources, manufacturing, and quality.
The company, founded in 2019, has been approved €1.5 million in funding through a number of Enterprise Ireland supports which will directly support investment in facilities, capabilities, people & new technologies.
Speaking at the announcement at ICS Medical Devices, Minister of State, with responsibility for Disability, Hildegarde Naughton TD said, “I would like to congratulate ICS Medical Devices on their continued growth and the creation of 72 new jobs. This expansion is a testament to their innovation and commitment to excellence. I’m also pleased to see Enterprise Ireland supporting this success through their grant funding, helping to drive job creation and economic development in the region.”
Minister of State with responsibility for Employment, Small Business and Retail, Alan Dillon TD said: “Today’s announcement that ICS Medical will undergo further expansion, creating high quality skilled jobs here in the west of Ireland is very welcome. ICS is an Irish company that has experienced impressive growth in the last six years and the announcement today of 72 new jobs based here in Galway shows that Ireland is leading in research and development within the medical device space. The Government through Enterprise Ireland looks forward to continued engagement with ICS Medical to support their business development in overseas markets.”
Speaking at the announcement, Jenny Melia, Executive Director and incoming CEO, Enterprise Ireland said, “ICS Medical is at the forefront of innovation in the medtech sector, developing best in class catheter solutions to meet the needs of the global healthcare sector. I’d like to congratulate the team on today’s anniversary and the plans to create an additional 72 high quality positions over the next three years. Supporting Irish companies with the ambition to scale globally is a key priority for Enterprise Ireland and we will continue to work closely with ICS Medical to optimise their full international growth potential, creating and sustaining jobs here in the Galway region.
