How can we help?
By Anna-Marie Turley
Irish innovation was on full display in the US as a delegation of Enterprise Ireland–supported cybersecurity companies travelled to San Francisco to participate in the RSA Conference 2026, the world’s largest cybersecurity gathering, which welcomed more than 43,000 attendees to the Moscone Centre from 23rd to 26th March.
The strong presence of Irish firms travelling to RSAC comes at a moment of significant international recognition for Ireland’s growing cybersecurity sector. A recent market study produced by PitchBook underscores the country’s rising prominence as a global hub for cybersecurity innovation and investment. According to the report, Ireland is now home to more than 140 pure‑play cybersecurity companies, many of which are gaining traction with enterprise and government clients worldwide through advanced solutions in AI‑driven threat detection, automated security workflows, and secure data technologies.
This surge in industry growth is exceptional, and Irish companies are consistently attracting top‑tier global investors. Enterprise Ireland has played a central role in this success, participating in over 75% of all Irish cybersecurity VC deals over the past decade, making it Europe’s leading cybersecurity investor by deal count.
Against this backdrop of rapid growth, Enterprise Ireland’s delegation at RSAC 2026 represented a cross‑section of the country’s most dynamic cyber innovators. Companies including 42Crunch, BH Consulting, Corrata, Dectar, Daon, Edgescan, Origina, Smarttech247, Tines, Topsec Cloud Solutions, UBiqube, UrbanFox, Vaultree, VigiTrust, Waratek, and ZeroRisk engaged with U.S. partners and multinationals throughout the week.
This theme of this year’s conference was "The Power of Community", which resonates strongly with Enterprise Ireland’s broader strategy. It also reflects our commitment to continue to emphasise ecosystem building—supporting founders, strengthening R&D partnerships, and increasing global market access—as essential pillars to sustaining Ireland’s competitiveness. This aligns closely with findings from national cybersecurity sector reports, such as those published by Cyber Ireland, which highlight the value of coordinated ecosystem development and talent expansion to secure long‑term sector leadership.
With Irish solutions now trusted by leading enterprises and governments worldwide for AI-driven threat detection, investigative intelligence and regulatory compliance, we are seeing unprecedented international demand for trusted, advanced cybersecurity capabilities. Cybersecurity is an absolute non-negotiable priority for organisations everywhere. This positions Ireland’s ecosystem for sustained high-growth investment and global leadership in the years to come.
The message is clear: Ireland’s cybersecurity sector is no longer emerging—it is accelerating, influential, and firmly positioned on the world stage. With continued strategic investment, strong global partnerships, and a pipeline of ambitious innovators, Ireland is expected to remain a key force in shaping the future of cybersecurity worldwide.
Enterprise Ireland is committed to supporting Irish businesses to start, compete, scale and connect, and our new five-year strategy, Delivering for Ireland, Leading Globally’, outlines our ambitious targets for the Irish enterprise base, which aims to support more Irish companies to achieve greater scale through international growth. Enterprise Ireland’s objective is to ‘Accelerate Sustainable Irish Business’, and it is our long-term ambition that exporting Irish companies will become the primary driver of the Irish economy.
