How can we help?
Alliance will support healthcare innovation, knowledge sharing, and commercial opportunities for Irish healthcare companies in the U.S. market
Enterprise Ireland, the government of Ireland's trade and innovation agency and the world's most active life sciences and health tech investor by deal count, has signed a new strategic alliance with Parkview Health, a nonprofit, community-focused health system serving Indiana and northwest Ohio.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on Thursday, 25th September and establishes a framework for collaboration between Enterprise Ireland and Parkview Health aimed at supporting healthcare innovation, knowledge sharing, and commercial opportunities for Irish healthcare companies in the U.S. market.
The signing took place in Dublin, Ireland with the agreement signed by Aidan McKenna, Regional Director for the Americas; Enterprise Ireland, and Rich Church, Chief Strategy Officer, Parkview Health.
The new strategic alliance will provide Enterprise Ireland client companies with access to Parkview Health's clinical and administrative expertise, creating opportunities to validate, commercialise and scale innovative healthcare solutions in the U.S. market.
The collaboration will focus on areas of mutual interest, including digital health and telehealth, medtech and therapeutics, hospital operational technologies, clinical research, and AI-enabled healthcare solutions, with both organisations working together to identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
Parkview Health is Indiana’s largest rural health provider, serving communities through its 16 hospitals and extensive network of primary and specialty care physicians. As northeast Indiana's largest employer, with nearly 20,000 co-workers, Parkview has earned national recognition for patient safety, quality, and patient experience.
The agreement comes at a time of significant growth for Ireland’s life sciences and health technology sector. Ireland combines deep medtech and biopharma expertise, world class research capabilities, and a highly connected commercialisation ecosystem that helps companies move from breakthrough innovation through validation, regulatory approval and international scale.
As the world’s largest healthcare market, the United States is increasingly the number one destination for Irish health technology and life sciences companies seeking to commercialise and scale globally. Strategic partnerships with leading health systems such as Parkview Health provide Irish companies with valuable clinical insights, market access opportunities and pathways to accelerate adoption of innovative healthcare solutions.
Speaking about the announcement, McKenna, said: "The signing of this strategic partnership between Enterprise Ireland and Parkview Health marks an important milestone in strengthening ties between Ireland's innovation ecosystem and one of the leading health systems in the United States. By combining Parkview's clinical expertise and operational scale with Ireland's pipeline of innovative healthcare companies, we can accelerate the adoption of new technologies, help innovators navigate the complexities of healthcare delivery, and ultimately bring meaningful solutions closer to patients, providers, and health systems."
Church said: “This alliance brings together Parkview’s commitment to improving health and inspiring well-being with Ireland’s strong culture of healthcare innovation. By connecting promising companies with the clinical and operational expertise of our teams, we can help advance practical solutions that support caregivers, strengthen healthcare delivery and improve the experience of patients and communities.”
The agreement further strengthens Enterprise Ireland's network of healthcare partners across the United States, creating additional pathways for Irish companies to engage with leading healthcare providers, validate new technologies, and accelerate international growth. The strategic alliance reflects Ireland's growing reputation as a global hub for life sciences and health technology innovation and reinforces Enterprise Ireland's commitment to helping Irish companies succeed in international markets.
