Enterprise Ireland backed-companies to play starring role at US-Ireland Alliance's 2023 Oscar Wilde Awards

Enterprise Ireland companies will play a starring role at the prestigious US-Ireland Alliance’s 2023 Oscar Wilde Awards taking place on Thursday, March 9th in Los Angeles.

Leading Enterprise Ireland companies attending the event, which brings together the very best of Irish and American arts and culture, include Windmill Lane, ShinaWiL and Screen Scene.

Enterprise Ireland supports over 90 companies in the Digital Entertainment sector which include AR/VR, animation and live action production, VFX, games development, content aggregation and distribution, interactive applications, immersive, audio and music technology.

The success of the sector in Ireland, particularly across animation, VFX and post production is a testament to Ireland's committed investment in world-class innovation, artistry and technology and a growth in the number of studios established nationwide.

Speaking about its support of the Oscar Wilde Awards and wider creative industry, Enterprise Ireland CEO, Leo Clancy said: “The success of Irish companies and individuals in the creative arena is a testament to the immense, strong talent emerging from the Irish digital entertainment sector here. Our artistic and VFX skills are recognised globally and over the last number of years a coordinated effort to increase investment and collaboration with industry both at home and abroad has led to huge strides for the sectors. We are delighted to support the Oscar Wilde Awards, which celebrates the achievements and talent of the sector while providing a platform to promote Irish production and VFX companies to a global audience.

ShinAwil:
Since its inception in 1999, ShinAwiL has produced some of the biggest and most well-loved TV shows in Ireland including: Dancing with the Stars, Home of The Year, Dragons' Den, and The Apprentice.
In 2017, the company began developing a slate of scripted projects, forming fruitful partnerships with a variety of international co-producers. With projects backed by Screen Ireland, RTÉ, and various distributors and studios, we continue to produce and develop a diverse slate of prestige scripted content.
