Enterprise Ireland confirms that Michael Carey has resigned as Chairman of the Board

Enterprise Ireland confirms that Michael Carey has resigned as Chairman of the Board. 

Mr Carey was appointed to this role in September 2023. Since then, Enterprise Ireland announced that companies it supports have delivered record job growth and export results.  A new five-year strategy, ‘Delivering for Ireland, Leading Globally (2025-2029)’ was developed and launched in March of this year. 

Kevin Sherry, Interim CEO, Enterprise Ireland, thanking Mr Carey commented,  “Michael gave huge time and commitment as Chairman and was dedicated to supporting Irish exporting businesses at all stages of their development.  Throughout his time as Chairman, he constantly focused on how our organisation can better support Irish businesses.  He brought the voice of the client and the insights of an entrepreneur to the table ensuring that clients were at the heart of every conversation.”
