75 new jobs to be created by Cork based firm as Business Platforms announce significant expansion

  • Company workforce to double by 2028

  • ‘Increased demand’ for specialized consulting services in the pharmaceutical industry

     

Business Platforms, a leading consulting firm specializing in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Serialization, Supply Chain Operations, and Digital Transformation for the pharmaceutical industry, has announced a significant expansion with plans to double its workforce over the next three years.

This significant growth initiative will see the creation of 75 high-value consulting and engineering jobs, bringing the total number of employees to 150 by 2028.

Co-founded in 2019 by Paul Browne, Phillip Doyle, and Liam O’Riordan, Business Platforms has established itself as a trusted partner for global pharmaceutical companies, delivering expert consulting services that drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation.

Headquartered in Cork, the company has grown rapidly, now supporting over 50% of the top 20 largest pharmaceutical firms worldwide.

As part of this growth, Business Platforms has recently appointed Joe Lyons as General Manager. With more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical sector, Joe is a recognized expert in MES implementation and global standardization.

Annabel Golden, HR Manager, has over 35 years’ experience in finance and human resources, with a track record of supporting business growth and strategic workforce planning.

The company has also made two new additions to the team recently in Martin Lynch and John O’Sullivan.

Martin has recently joined Business Platforms as Business Development Manager, bringing over 25 years of experience within the life sciences industry.

John has been appointed as Head of Operations where he will lead Business Platforms' delivery excellence and further strengthen execution across all their service lines, driving sustainable growth and delivering value to clients.

Business Platforms Chairperson & Co-founder, Liam O’Riordan, initially worked in Engineering and Operations roles before moving on to drive the startup and growth of multiple highly successful multinational organizations.

Business Platforms’ headquarters at Penrose Dock, Cork will remain a cornerstone of its operations, with plans to expand office space to accommodate the growing team.
