Innovation Arena 2026 in association with Enterprise Ireland and the National Ploughing Association

Enterprise Ireland, in partnership with the National Ploughing Association (NPA), has opened entries for the 2026 Innovation Arena Awards, taking place at the National Ploughing Championships (NPC) in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from 15–17 September. The Innovation Arena is a major annual showcase for Ireland’s agritech sector, attracting over 240,000 visitors and providing a platform for Irish innovators to reach domestic and international audiences.
 

Award Categories

There are three award categories for 2026:

1. Start-Up Innovator of the Year– €10,000 prize plus mentoring and Enterprise Ireland advisory supports.
2. Innovation Arena Champion – For established companies focused on scaling and innovation.
3. Green Impact Award – For innovations that support sustainable food and farming for future generations.
    

Selection & Exhibition

Shortlisted applicants may receive exhibition space inside the Innovation Arena at NPC.

Nine finalists will be chosen and invited to pitch on 15th September before judges and a live audience.

Previous participants can apply for a place in the popular Agritech Hub, an additional exhibition area hosted by Enterprise Ireland.

 

Purpose & Strategic Importance

The Innovation Arena supports Enterprise Ireland’s strategy “Delivering for Ireland, Leading Globally”, promoting regional job creation, agritech entrepreneurship, and solutions addressing global challenges. The initiative aims to foster innovation, research, and sustainable practices to futureproof Irish agriculture.
