Revive Active are growing home
When a customer of Dáithí O’Connor’s financial services business handed him a supplement from the US, little did he know how much it would change his life. Inspired by the belief that better health starts with better nutrition, the Sligo entrepreneur set out to create premium nutritional supplements that could deliver real benefits. Today, that vision has grown into one of Ireland’s most successful health and wellbeing brands.
As the business grew, Revive Active faced a decision. With Brexit approaching and its products still being manufactured in Wales, the company chose to bring production home. With support from Enterprise Ireland, it established its first manufacturing facility in Mullingar, bringing the full manufacturing process to Ireland.
Today, Revive Active employs almost 100 people across Galway and Mullingar, with around 40 working in manufacturing and operations in Mullingar. A new 21,000-square-foot facility is supporting its next stage of growth, while its products are stocked in more than 2,000 pharmacies and health-food stores across Ireland, and reach customers in the UK, Spain, Portugal, the UAE and Nigeria.
That growth is being felt in both places Revive Active calls home. Its Galway team continues to grow, while investment in Mullingar is creating skilled manufacturing jobs and supporting the local economy. Beyond the workplace, the company supports grassroots sport and community initiatives, while employees regularly give their time to volunteering locally.
