Overview of the International Selling Programme
The International Selling Programme is Enterprise Ireland's proven export sales development programme targeted exclusively at maximising export sales for Irish companies. This customised, practical programme is delivered by Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in partnership with a panel of world-class experts and practitioners. Participation on the programme will deliver real and immediate impact both for you as an individual and for your company. The programme enhances the ability to access new markets and accelerates export sales growth.
Since the programme was established in 2006, over 300 CEOs, managing directors, sales directors and business development executives have successfully completed the International Selling Programme.
What is involved?
The International Selling Programme is developed and delivered by the DIT in conjunction with a panel of world-class sales and management experts and practitioners.
The programme comprises of eight two-day modules, delivered over a ten-month period from January to October 2015 with a finale event in November 2015.
Each module is accompanied by practical, company-specific assignments and, at the end of the programme, you will develop an international sales plan aligned to your company's overall business strategy and growth targets.
The programme includes two workshop days for colleagues sponsoring participants which are designed to support embedding of the programme learning throughout the business.
Participants will also be assigned a sales practitioner to work with you as a programme business adviser, helping you to implement programme learnings and achieve an immediate impact on your sales ability.
Am I eligible? Who should apply?
The International Selling Programme is for manufacturing and internationally traded services companies currently exporting or with advanced plans to do so. The proven tools you will master are relevant to any growth orientated company.
Participants should typically spend a minimum of 30% of time in a sales role and must be at the level of:
- Sales/Commercial/Marketing Director (or other Director Level)
- Sales/Commercial/Marketing Manager
- Business Development Executive
- Technical Sales Lead
The proven tools and strategies acquired are relevant to any growth-oriented company, whether already active internationally or just embarking on an export strategy. Participating companies range from start-ups right through to multinationals.
The Programme fee is €12,494 per participant per Enterprise. This includes Executive and CEO participation and the assignment of a Business Adviser. Participation on the programme is supported by Enterprise Ireland at the following rates:

Note a decreased rate of funding may be applied where companies are availing of the programme for more than 3 participants.

Please note it is currently expected that the 2016 International Selling Programme will commence in Q2 2016 with applications being sought from companies in Q1 2016. Companies that register their interest will be notified when applications are being accepted to the programme.
