Elaine Coughlan

Elaine is a Managing Partner and Founder of Atlantic Bridge,

an Irish founded Growth Equity Technology Fund which is one of Europe’s top performing funds with over €1bn of assets under management. She is also a founder of the China Ireland Growth Technology Fund which is focused on investing and helping Irish Technology companies to scale in China. The China Ireland Growth Technology Fund is backed by China Investment Corp (CIC) which is the World’s 4th largest investor and the Irish Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF).

Elaine has over 24 years of experience in scaling technology companies; including successful investments and realizations of Irish companies such as Swrve, Movidius, Decawave, PolarLake Fieldaware and Novaerus. Prior to founding Atlantic Bridge, she was founder and director of Glonav, a GPS company that was acquired by NXP for $110 million. Elaine served as CFO and or VP Finance for three successful Irish technology Nasdaq IPOs − Parthus, IONA and Smartforce – that realized more than $5 billion in value for investors. Elaine has been named as one of Europe’s Top 50 Inspiring Women in Technology.

Elaine is a Board member of Enterprise Ireland and the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Oman’s Technology Fund, and is a member of the Council of the Institute of Directors.

Elaine holds an MSc in Corporate Governance, is a qualified Chartered Director and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
