Overview of the Advocates Programme
The Enterprise Ireland Advocates Programme provides a service to companies who are seeking to develop new products and explore opportunities for their entry into global markets.
This service is provided by an Advocate with a proven track record of achievement in helping companies to identify an innovation and development agenda. The Advocate works with your company, on behalf of Enterprise Ireland, on the business process improvements that are necessary to implement change successfully.
What is involved?
Companies are assigned an Advocate, from Enterprise Ireland’s approved panel. The Advocate visits your company for an initial half-day. This meeting provides a safe, yet structured forum for you to take a fresh look at your business; how you currently allocate resources, plus your future technical innovation and development plans or requirements.
Following this half-day meeting you can apply to engage the services of an Advocate for a further 3 days.
The ultimate aim is that new developments through technical innovation will strengthen your company’s position and lead to increased sales into new global markets.
Am I eligible?
The Advocates Programme is open to existing and potential clients of Enterprise Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta and Local Enterprise Office that meet both of the following criteria:
- A small or medium sized company (SME).
- Involved in manufacturing or eligible services activity in the Republic of Ireland.
Maximum funding available
The initial half-day visit is free.
If after this visit, you are interested in engaging further, you can apply for an additional 3 days’ consultancy at a subsidised rate with Enterprise Ireland paying two-thirds of the cost of this consultancy support.
