James Ginn, Regional General Manager Europe, Cathay Pacific Airways
James Ginns became Regional General Manager Europe for Cathay Pacific in August 2017. He is responsible for the airline’s strategic and business development in Europe.
James' previous role was Director Service Delivery, a position he took up in August 2014. The role involved overseeing all aspects of the airline’s service, both on the ground and in the air.
Prior to that, as the airline’s General Manager Inflight Services, James' responsibilities covered cabin safety, cabin crew operations, service development, catering, and inflight sales.
James joined John Swire & Sons in 1991, and has held a number of other positions at Cathay Pacific over the past 26 years. These include overseeing the relocation of the airline to the new Hong Kong International Airport in 1998, country management roles in France, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan, as well as stints in procurement and marketing.
James was born in the United Kingdom and educated at Oxford University where he read Modern History. He is married with four children.
