Though Paul initially travelled to Australia with the intention of becoming a professional golfer, he quickly made use of his physics and instrumentation background from the Cork Institute of Technology, on major projects throughout Australia before teaming up with fellow founding director John Cox to create EPS Group Australia.

EPS Group Australia was founded upon a deep industry experience. From its beginnings in the water and mining sectors of Western Australia and Victoria, the company evolved into an industry leader for specialised Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation with an annual turnover nearing $100 million along with a dedicated workforce of over three hundred and fifty people.

Throughout its growth, EPS Group Australia maintained “its core principles of being a highly responsive and adaptable company aligned with the philosophy that it treats each project as its only project”.

The company built strong and enduring relationships with blue chip companies such as General Electric, Wood Group PSN, RCR Tomlinson, Leighton Contractors, Thiess and Origin Energy in the course of working on various projects. EPS Group Australia operated throughout the country until being acquired by EnerMech in 2017. EnerMech and EPS Group were a great combination and it provided EPS with the opportunity to win and take on larger projects.

After the acquisition by EnerMech the M, E&I division has great success within the EnerMech group securing major wins throughout the Asia Pacific region along with the Americas. EnerMech have secured key project wins on West Connex, Sydney Light Rail, Canberra Light Rail, Ithchys to name a few.

Paul’s role is now focused on the sales side ensuring strategic project wins with the support of the EnerMech team. Paul’s individual achievement

  • Co-Founder and Managing Director of EPS Group Australia
  • EPS Group Australia winner of 2016 Aspire Award for Private Business Growth & Transformation ($50m-$100m turnover).
