Dermot McCann, NSW State Director, Optus
In his role as State Director NSW, Dermot has executive accountability for the Optus Business NSW operation, Enterprise and Government customers. business full relationship management of Optus Business’ mid-market, corporate and enterprise customer base.
Previously as Vice President of Enterprise Sales, Dermot had responsibility for end to end relationship management of Optus Business’ mid-market, corporate and enterprise customer base in Optus’ largest markets in New South Wales and Victoria.
Optus Business provides Australian business with end-to-end solutions, from fixed and mobile connectivity, right through to a comprehensive suite of network-centric ICT solutions and managed services.
Prior to joining Optus in 2015, Dermot was Managing Director for IT Service Management software company Kaseya, which was acquired by Insight Partners in 2013. Dermot has broad experience in the IT industry in Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Kaseya, Dermot had an extensive career with IBM Australia, where he held a variety of sales and industry leadership roles in Energy, Telecommunications and Media.
Originally from Ireland he moved to Australia in 1999 where he had the position of Chief Information Officer for Logicalis, later acquired by IBM. Dermot holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Brighton and a Masters of Business & Technology from the University of New South Wales. He also an active member of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and currently serves on the board of the NSW Council.
