Business Description
GP Wood was formed in April 2013 as a result of the merger of two of Ireland's most successful and long established timber processing companies; the Grainger Group and the Palfab Group. GP Wood is one of Ireland’s largest and most diversified timber processing operations.

Since the merger, GP Wood is committed to investing €5 million in a range of initiatives including product enhancements. GP Wood’s original companies were both established in 1977. The group employs c150 staff with a further 250 indirect employees in their forestry operations.

Timber manufacturing focused on the construction, fencing, garden leisure and packaging markets is the core business of the group.

Products and Services
Supply quality timber to a full range of thicknesses and widths in lengths up 5.4. We import 6.0/6.6/7.2/7.8 material. Proof in our quality is shown in that we have third party certification of our visual and mechanical timber grading operations that comply with current Irish and European Standards.

We offer a complete range including feather edge boards arris and cant rails, gravel boards and fence post. Pallet Material - these boards are cut to length from 600mm upwards.

Range of pallet and packing case material, cut to length pallet boards and bearers available from 600mm upwards. We can provide Pressure treatment, heat treatment (ISPM-15) & kiln drying for all specifications. Logs are sourced from renewable forests and we have Forest Stewardship Council(FSC) accreditation for all products produced in our plant.
