Airtel ATN provides Data Link communication software and test equipment to support the dramatic increase in demand for global air travel.
Airtel ATN provides operational and test Data Link solutions to Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), Avionics Manufacturers, Communications Service Providers (CSPs), and Maintenance Repair Operators (MROs) in America, Asia, Europe and Russia.
Airtel ATN began as a telecommunications company, moving to Aeronautical Telecommunications in 1998. Today Airtel ATN’s solutions enable over 6,000 aircraft to connect to the ATC network.
Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC) and Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Contract (ADS-C) are some of the air-traffic management (ATM) applications making use of data link technologies which allow data to flow between Air Traffic Control (ATC) centres and aircraft.
CPDLC supports clear and efficient communication via pre-determined text messages between the pilot and air traffic control. ADS-C delivers improvements in aircraft tracking across all stages of flight allowing for increased planning of flight paths, safe increases in capacity for airports and reduced holding patterns to minimise environmental impact.
Airtel ATN continues to deliver technological excellence within Air Traffic Management (ATM) and is a member of every significant Research and Deployment Program, including COMET and SESAR Joint Undertaking in Europe and NextGen in the U.S.
The Airtel team are proud to be leading improvements in the next generation of ATM solutions including SATCOM, Trajectory-Based Operations and Future Communications Infrastructure.
