By entering the African market in partnership with Voltas Technologies and extending the established SUNWIND range, AuBren DAQS is confident that will be able to deploy their solutions across 200 – 300 Medical infrastructure sites in the region, representing a value of between €3 million (ZAR 40 million) to €5 million (ZAR 65 million) during the next four years.

AuBren DAQS is dedicated to the design and manufacture of innovative, highly energy efficient precision air quality systems, thermal management systems, indoor air quality and environmental solutions for use in Healthcare, IT and Telecom applications. The Company has worked extensively with Voltas Technologies to carefully localize the DAQS products to meet the commercial and technical needs of African markets.

The AuBren DAQS range of medical air handling units are uniquely compact, typically occupying 30% or less of the floor space of competitor products. This makes the products ideal for retrofit applications where space is at a premium. For new builds, more space is available for people rather than for plant and equipment.

VOLTAS Technologies is constantly monitoring African market requirements in their field and offers products that are at the forefront of technological development.  This unique relationship between AuBren and Voltas Technologies will link the air handling design and product development skills of AuBren with the market awareness and extensive health facilities know-how of Voltas Technologies, leading to the launch of further new and innovative products for African markets.

Already a range of precision cooled mini-data centres is about to be launched.

AuBren and Voltas Technologies plan to formally launch the first group of new products at the Frigair Exhibition which take place in Johannesburg during June 3rd to 5th, 2015.

As a result of the partnership with Voltas Technologies, AuBren expects to increase international staff members by around 50 percent, with some of those based permanently in the Africa. The company also has international outlets in Paris, Toronto and Dubai.

Welcoming the agreement Minister Flanagan said: “AuBren has built up a reputation for excellence in innovative medical technologies from its base in Portlaoise, Ireland. This agreement with Voltas Technologies will facilitate access for AuBren to a fast growing region with an excellent local partner, and is good for the growth of jobs both in Ireland and South Africa.  This very positive development confirms the significance of opportunities for ambitious Irish companies wishing to do business in this growing market.”

Aubrey E. Nuzum – Managing Director said: ‘’AuBren DAQS is very excited about the growth prospects that African markets can provide through the successful implementation of our innovative Medical solutions. This will be followed by the launch of our Telecom and IT precision cooling solutions, which we also expect to be well received in the region.’’

Cristian Cernat – Managing Director Voltas said: ‘’Voltas Technologies is established as the leading promoter of highly innovative and efficient air handling technologies in South Africa. This partnership with AuBren provides us with increased capability to refine and invent new technologies for our growing client list.’’
