Irish Software company set to improve mobile experience for business users in Africa

Druid Software positioned to offer enhanced mobile experience for business users in Africa

Druid Software, Bray, Co Wicklow, the Irish mobile network software development company, announced today (15 November 2012) that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jasco, the South African owned ICT converged solutions provider, to supply Fixed Mobile Converged solutions to enterprise customers in sub Saharan Africa. The announcement was made to coincide with this week’s Enterprise Ireland trade mission to South Africa, led by Minister for Trade and Development, Joe Costello, TD.

Druid Software’s innovative mobile solution will provide business users with an enhanced quality of service while using their mobile devices in the office.  The application, Raemis, also allows mobile devices to integrate with business fixed line services replacing the function of traditional PBX extensions and desk phones.

Making the announcement, Michael O’Dwyer, Sales and Marketing Director Druid Software said:  ‘The solution will be targeted at mobile operators and MVNOs in sub Saharan Africa. Druid will leverage Jacos’s customer relationships and ICT deployment capabilities in the service rollout. The motivation for carriers to adopt the Raemis solution is driven by their need to win and retain business customers. In addition to managing a dedicated small cell cluster, Raemis integrates with corporate communications infrastructure thus helping to decrease churn rate amongst business customers.

Welcoming the announcement Minister Costello said:  ‘Trade and economic cooperation between Ireland and South Africa has increased significantly in recent years. Druid Software's expansion of its international business with this new relationship with Jasco is a welcome development in this context. Today’s announcement confirms the strong reputation that innovative Irish companies like Druid Software have with demanding customers in markets around the world. My Department, the Embassy network and Enterprise Ireland are ready to support such companies in every possible way to increase further their international presence.”
