Enterprise Ireland welcomes launch of Polaris Venture Partners Dogpatch Labs in Dublin
Enterprise Ireland today (Thursday 29 September 2011) welcomed the opening by an Taoiseach Enda Kenny of the new Polaris Venture Partners Dogpatch Labs facility in Dublin’s Barrow Street, and the appointment of Noel Ruane as Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR), to head up the new facility.
Dogpatch Labs provide a unique facility for entrepreneurs working on new business ideas, providing free space, connectivity and ‘open-sourced’ collaboration through industry events and open houses that encourage a constant atmosphere of innovation.
Welcoming the announcement Frank Ryan, CEO of Enterprise Ireland said: ‘This new facility is a very significant development for innovative entrepreneurs, who will thrive in its dynamic environment. It will act as a catalyst for the creation and development of new business ideas and companies that will be the foundation of future employment and export growth. Enterprise Ireland recently showcased 80 of the high potential start-ups we invested in during 2010, and we look forward to working with and supporting this initiative and its community of entrepreneurs over the coming years’.
