Byrne Looby Partners announces contracts with a fee value of €750,000 for major design and PMC projects in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Minister O’Sullivan leads Enterprise Ireland trade mission of 45 companies to the Middle East

Irish consultancy Byrne Looby Partners (BLP) has announced today (Thursday, 20th October, 2011) that it has won three commissions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, totalling €750,000 in professional fees.  The Dublin based company are specialist design and PMC consultants. The announcement was made during this week’s Enterprise Ireland trade mission to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, led by Minister for Trade and Development, Jan O’Sullivan TD.

The client on these projects are Al Fatah Water and Bakri Energy who are one of the top tier Saudi Trading Companies specialising in international shipping, port facilities, energy, water and power.  Byrne Looby Partners are acting as overall design consulting engineers responsible for the MEP, Civil and Instrumentation and Control design elements on three major projects - Jubail Desalination Plant, Jubail Industrial Port Bulk Storage Tank Farm and Makkah Gas Turbine Power Station.  BLP are also technical advisors on aspects of the new 30,000m2 16 storey Head Quarters Building for Al Bakri.

The trade mission with 45 companies to Saudi Arabia and Qatar is aimed at deepening economic ties, building market presence and creating jobs.  Enterprise Ireland is working with these companies in the region to strengthen their business links in the Gulf States, develop strategic partnerships and win new business contracts and to access the vast growth opportunities which these markets present.
