The International Selling Programme
The International Selling Programme is Enterprise Ireland's proven export sales development programme targeted exclusively at maximising export sales for Irish companies. This customised, practical programme is delivered by Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in partnership with a panel of world-class experts and practitioners. Participation on the programme will deliver real and immediate impact both for you as an individual and for your company. The programme enhances the ability to access new markets and accelerates export sales growth.
Since the programme was established in 2006, over 650 CEOs, managing directors, sales directors and business development executives have successfully completed the International Selling Programme.

In response to demand Enterprise Ireland has scheduled a Programme start date for the International Selling Programme in 2018:
- Start date: 3rd September 2018 – for clients targeting all markets (including Eurozone)

The International Selling Programme - What is involved?
The Programme comprises of eight two-day modules delivered in the following format:
- Start date: 3rd September, 2018 – 9 months duration
Each module is accompanied by practical, company-specific assignments and throughout the programme, you will develop an international sales plan to execute within a chosen export market.
Supporting Company Development
Other team members within participating companies can access a suite of learning elements which support a company wide approach to developing sales capability which include:
- access to a half day workshop to attend with participants.
- live webinars on sales related topics.
- library of customised eLearning materials accessible on Enterprise Ireland’s eLearning portal.
Participants will also be assigned a sales practitioner to work with you as a Programme business adviser, helping you to implement Programme learnings and achieve an immediate impact on your sales ability.
Am I eligible? Who should apply?
The International Selling Programme is for manufacturing and internationally traded services companies currently exporting or with advanced plans to do so. The proven tools you will master are relevant to any growth orientated company.
Participants should typically spend a minimum of 30% of time in a sales role and must be at the level of:
- Sales/Commercial/Marketing Director (or other Director Level)
- Sales/Commercial/Marketing Manager
- Business Development Executive
- Technical Sales Lead
The 3rd September, 2018 start date is open to companies that are utilising the International Selling Programme to support growth in ALL export markets including the Eurozone.

The Programme fee is €12,100 per participant per Enterprise. This includes Executive and CEO participation and the assignment of a Business Adviser. Participation on the programme is supported by Enterprise Ireland at the following rates:

For a full definition of Enterprise Size, please refer to SME Definition. Companies must be eligible Enterprise Ireland clients or clients of a participating agency to avail of funding support.
Note a decreased rate of funding may be applied where companies are availing of the programme for more than 3 participants.
How do I apply?
Please note there are 3 pages to be completed as follows:
- Page 1: Applicant details including a brief summary of why you believe you should be selected to participate on ISP.
- Page 2: Company details including proposed focus of your International Growth Plan.
- Page 3: Grant eligibility including details of the size of your Enterprise.
Companies who are currently working with an Enterprise Ireland Adviser in relation to an International Growth Plan should discuss their application to the International Selling Programme with their adviser.
