Software and Internationally Traded Services Trade Mission to Australia, 1-5 September 2014

Enterprise Ireland is organising a Software & Internationally Traded Services Trade Mission to Australia which we expect to be led by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation, Richard Bruton and Enterprise Ireland’s CEO Julie Sinnamon.

The resilience of the Australian economy during the global financial crisis was well documented and the country recently recorded its 23rd consecutive year of economic growth. The success and growth of the Australian market across the software and internationally traded services sectors now makes this region the third largest market for Enterprise Ireland software companies globally, behind the USA and UK.

To continue to build on this success a Software & Internationally Traded Services Trade Mission to Australia, specifically focusing on the following end-markets - financial services, telecoms, healthcare and travel, will be held from the 1st to 5th September 2014.

The objective of the mission is to highlight Irish technology capabilities in supplying financial services, telecoms, healthcare and travel sectors and to grow exports of the indigenous software and services companies travelling on the mission to Australia.

Australia is the 12th largest global economy with the fifth highest per capita income. The economic relationship between Ireland and Australia is stronger now than at any time in our history with two-way trade of more than $2.8bl per annum and an active Irish Diaspora network. Enterprise Ireland software clients continue to find a receptive market in Australia successfully evidenced by the growth in their exports by 19% from 2011-12 to a level of €190ml.

The trade mission will visit Melbourne (1st - 2nd September) and Sydney (3rd - 5th September 2014). There will be strategic sector specific group events held during the week. Each event will provide clients with a unique opportunity to network with potential business contacts/partners while also allowing you to invite your own key business partner or customers who are based in Australia. There will also be PR opportunities for Enterprise Ireland clients who have significant announcements to make over the course of the trade mission. We also may be able to offer individual meeting opportunities for client companies and their customers with the Minister and ask you to contact us as soon as possible in this regard.
