Head – ICT, International Services and Client Management Development
Niall is Divisional Manager with responsibility for ICT and International Service Sectors and for Client Leadership Skills within Enterprise Ireland.
Prior to this role, Niall held a series of senior management positions within Enterprise Ireland, including Head of Investment Services, (involving Commercial Assessment, Direct Equity and Growth Capital), Manager of Life Sciences Global Sectoral Team, Manager Regions and Competitiveness and Head of People (HR), Policy and Planning.
Niall has worked in strategy formulation and implementation in key areas of economic development. Prior to joining Enterprise Ireland, Niall worked in Forfás (the Industrial Policy Body), on enterprise and EU support programmes and supply of skills, where he was involved in establishing the Expert Group on Future Skill Needs.
Prior to that, he worked in the Structural Funds Industry Evaluation Unit in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in FAS (the National Training and Employment Authority), in the Youth Employment Agency, (Community Enterprise), in setting-up and running an enterprise centre in South Co Dublin, and in IDA Ireland (Planning, Food).
In 1994 Niall had a paper published in the Economic and Social Review on Porters Clustering and Irish Industry.
Niall is currently Chairman of the Governing Board of Sligo IT.
Niall holds an MA in Economics from NUIG (1980) and an MBA from DCU (1992).
