Sigma Wireless Technologies Ltd (Sigma Wireless) was established in 1991, and is engaged in antenna design and manufacturing from its base in Dublin, Ireland. It is a member of the Sigma Wireless Group, which employs over 550 people in Ireland and the UK. The group turnover exceeded 200 million dollars in 2000.
Sigma Wireless is a global provider of wireless infrastructure equipment to wireless communications carriers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The key product lines are; PMR, TETRA and 3G antennas. In each category, we manufacture a comprehensive line of base station, mobile, low profile and inbuilding antennas including;
• Omni antennas that broadcast signals in a full 360-degree circular pattern.
• Directional and panel antennas that concentrate signals in a particular direction, thereby increasing capacity and coverage,
• Sectored Array Antennas that generate multiple beams
• Broadband Antennas that process multiple frequency bands on a single antenna.
• Low profile antennas specifically designed for use on vehicles operating under severe height limitations such as buses, trains, containers and other such vehicles. The low profile range incorporates antennas ORBCOMM applications including dual and tri band antennas (these antennas are not exclusive to ORBCOMM applications and are suitable for other satellite tracking systems).
Since 1998, the company has transformed from being a niche PMR manufacturing feeder plant into being a technology leader in the TETRA and 3G cellular antenna business. Newly emerging markets were targeted, a complete re-engineering of product design and manufacturing processes has taken place including the integration of IT systems. The company has embraced a quality ethos and is approved to ISO9001/2000 quality standards and is quality approved by major OEM's operators.
Sigma Wireless has a proven track record in supplying OEM and Operator customers and has developed good CRM systems. Our key differentiator is that we offer engineering support services essential for engineering staff involved in network design. Our e-Business capability allows us to make this service available to more customers and sets a high standard for engineering support.
