The global challenge of climate change, scarcity of resources and the drive to low carbon economies offers major opportunities for companies serving the Sustainable Built Environment. To secure the long term growth of Irish Industry, we must take advantage of these opportunities. The quality of leadership in companies will be the critical determinant of success.
Ireland's rapidly emerging Cleantech sector, linked to the wealth of experience and depth of expertise to be found within Irish construction companies, provides a basis for success. The Government is now investing in the leaders of Ireland's Cleantech, Construction and related industries to support their growth and expansion in global markets, benefiting individuals, their companies and Ireland's economy.
The Leadership 4 Growth initiative has been designed to capitalise on the entrepreneurial and managerial talent within the Cleantech and Construction industries. It is targeted at experienced CEOs* of Irish companies who have the ambition to lead their company to global success.
Enterprise Ireland has a proven track record of delivering business results though such initiatives for other industry sectors. Following the success of the Leadership 4 Growth Construction Programme, Enterprise Ireland is again partnering with Duke Corporate Education (Duke CE) to deliver the Leadership 4 Growth programme targeting the Sustainable Built Environment. Duke CE has a strong reputation worldwide for creating value adding programmes, customised specifically to the needs of the participants and their businesses (ranked no. 1 in the world by both the Financial Times and Business Week). Senior industry people in Ireland and participants themselves have been involved throughout the design of this programme.
