EI logoABP Food Group has today announced the completion of a €50 million redevelopment of its facilities in Cahir, Co. Tipperary. 'Tippy Talk' wins Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2015Rob Laffan, a student from Limerick Institute of Technology, has today won the Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreneurs of the Year Award and been named ‘College Entrepreneur of the Year 2015’. The winning entrant beat off stiff competition with his project ‘Tippy Talk’, a bespoke, robust touch-screen communication system that has been designed by the father of a non-verbal child with autism. ‘TippyTalk’ allows the child to communicate her desires, feelings and needs to her parents through the transfer of pictures to text messages. ‘TippyTalk’ can also be adapted to cover other areas of non-verbal disabilities. Ministers Bruton and Nash announce the creation of 100 New Jobs supported by Enterprise IrelandDrogheda, Ireland, June 2nd 2015 – A new Irish biscuit company, East Coast Bakehouse, launched today announcing an investment in a new large scale commercial biscuit manufacturing facility located on Ireland’s east coast in Drogheda and the creation of 100 jobs.The €15 million investment will transform a recently renovated 50,000 sq.ft. food production facility at Donore Rd business park in Drogheda, Co. Louth into a state of the art bakehouse, innovation facility, warehouse and offices. Exports by Irish companies hit all-time high of €18.6 billion following 10% increaseExports by Irish companies increased by 10% during 2014 to hit an all-time high of €18.6billion, the Government announced today (Thursday 30 April, 2015).Growth was recorded in exports to all international markets and across all sectors, according to the official figures published by Enterprise Ireland today. The announcement is being made as the Government publishes the 13th Action Plan for Jobs Progress Report at an event at Enterprise Ireland HQ at East Point, Dublin, today. The Progress Report, part of the monitoring process put in place when the Action Plan for Jobs was first launched in February 2012, showed that 101 of the 113 measures scheduled for delivery during Q1 2015 have been delivered. Systems has completed a project to provide and install 116 automated tray return systems (ATRS) at Dubai International Airport, in order to streamline the passenger experience.
