Enterprise IrelandEishtec, the Waterford based customer contact solutions provider, announced today that it is to create 250 new jobs by October 2013 as part of a major expansion via a new custom-built facility in Drinagh, Co. Wexford. The report shows that there has been an increase in early stage entrepreneurial activity in 2011. As a result more people started new businesses in 2011 than in the previous year. €60m invested by Irish venture capital firms supported by Enterprise Ireland in 2011 - up 43% on 2010The Enterprise Ireland Seed and Venture Capital Programme 2011 Report published today has shown that despite a continuing challenging economic climate for business, Irish venture capital firms supported by Enterprise Ireland made 131 investments in 93 companies with a value of €60 million in 2011.  This marks a 43% increase on the value of investments in 2010.  This is a significant result, mirroring the strong performance by Irish exporters in 2011 and the increase in the number of innovative start up enterprises supported by Enterprise Ireland during the year. New Irish Wind Farm Vessel Takes to the SeasArklow Marine Services today officially launched its first vessel designed and built specifically for servicing offshore wind farms in the U.K.  The new 20 metre aluminium catamaran cost £1.7m and created 10 new jobs during the build and fit out.  The development of the innovative vessel was part-financed by Enterprise Ireland’s R&D Fund.
