Innovation IrelandMandac, the Dublin based technology company, has won a second major contract with the European Space Agency for the provision of a 'cloud' version of its internet retailing system. The contract covers the enhancement and deployment of MANDAC's MultiSpot™ system, which is a management and billing service for wireless hotspots. In many parts of Africa and emerging regions of the world, the only way to get internet access is via satellite connection. EpiSensor to create 10 new jobs with €850k fundingFunding of €850,000 has been provided to EpiSensor, a Limerick based company that develops wireless sensor technology that reduces energy costs. The syndicated funding has been provided by the Bank of Ireland Start-up and Emerging Sectors Equity Fund, managed by Delta Partners, the AIB Seed Capital Fund, co-managed by Enterprise Equity, Enterprise Ireland and private investors.  The funds will enable EpiSensor to create new jobs and grow international sales. Minister Bruton unveils Ireland’s latest crop of software start-ups     Minister Bruton today announced the 15 successful companies that have been awarded funding under Enterprise Ireland’s Competitive Start Fund for software start ups, aimed at getting critical financial support into very early stage companies to explore the market fit for their services.
