Foodworks is a joint initiative between EI, Bord Bia and Teagasc to support new or early stage global food businesses. To date there have been 3 information evenings in Ashbourne, Athlone and Cork with over 300 people in attendance. We have also completed two 3 night “Immerse Yourself” programmes in Dublin and Cork with 135 attendees across both locations whereby participants were give information about starting a food business, consumer trends and the facilities available in the 3 participating organisations. The closing date for applications to the main Foodworks programme is Monday 14th May and 30 projects will be selected for phase 1 of the programme beginning in late August 2012 and running until early November. 15 projects will be selected to progress to Phase 2 on a competitive basis.
