Zomax

Website www.zomax.com

Zomax Ireland is part of Zomax Corporation, the $200m NASDAQ quoted company founded in the USA in 1993. The company has two large facilities in Ireland, both in Co. Dublin, one in Santry and one in Clondalkin. In addition, the company has a facility in Canada and seven in the USA. The Irish plants were bought from Japanese conglomerate Kao in 1999 in line with Zomax’s policy of growth through acquisition.

Zomax started out as a CD replicator, mastering and copying CDs for many of the world’s largest IT vendors. Although the company has diversified into other areas, it still managed to author 350,000,000 CDs and DVDs in 2001! As the trend for outsourcing grew and clients started to outsource more and more of their non-core functions, Zomax changed to meet their needs - through production of packaging, addition of manuals, fulfilment and distribution.
