CEL give the following advice:
- Write
precise specifications for all projects.
- Utilise
reference sites when buying products and services
- Get
in-house IT expertise to get impartial advice on software
systems
- Don't
rely on the IT function to make business decisions, involve
the whole team in the process

Outside consultants don't know your business and processes
as well as you do. Trust your own judgment and don't be
persuaded to make decisions based purely on technology.

. Future Plans
CEL are currently running the final tests on their traceability
system and, after drawing up detailed specifications, are
about deploy the bar-coding system. Once this deployment of
bar coding commences, CEL will finalise their ERP specifications
and work closely with Manser to implement the system.
