Vitalograph

6 . Outcome

6.1 Benefits for Customers

Once the site is launched the benefits for customers will be immediate:

  • Better quality of product information - The Vitalograph site used to be a static website with little useful information for customers or distributors. The new site will offer customers easier access to PDF based documents that are easy to download and read.
  • More efficient service – Customers and distributors will no longer have to wait for product information or brochures in the mail. All the data they require will be on the web.
  • More efficient support – Support information will be available to interested parties on an as-needed basis. This will negate the need for lengthy phone calls and offer a more efficient way to find the required information.

6.2 Benefits for Vitalograph

  • Increased efficiency – The new website will take the pressure off R&D to answer support questions on a daily basis. Many of the answers will be on the web in the FAQ documents. Already, even running internally, the time taking support calls has been reduced from 40-50% to 10-15% of Shane O’Neill’s time.
  • Future proof solution - As more functionality is introduced, the site will realise an even greater return on investment. The time spent designing the web infrastructure means that any new functionality could be added quickly and easily as required in the future.
  • Cost savings – The cost of distributing paper based product information, and, in particular, multi-language manuals, is becoming more and more expensive. The Vitalograph website will give the company the option to distribute these documents via the web thus making a potential saving.
