Founded following a management buyout of Landis & Gyr in 1991, LAKE Communications Ltd, a privately owned company, has its headquarters in Tallaght, Dublin with offices elsewhere in Ireland and overseas.

In Europe and Australia, LAKE is a market leader in voice and data networking products and software technology in the telecommunications industry. 70 of its staff work on product development. Their target market is the residential and small office segments (SoHo – Small office, Start of case study office). Products are sold to the end customer via its partnerships with major Telecom Operators and Internet Service Providers (ISP’s). BT is it largest customer accounting for 30% of its 2001 turnover of €40m.
