Enterprise Ireland is organising a Business Mission to Brazil and Mexico, led by Minister Micheál Martin, T.D. and will include meetings in Sao Paulo and Mexico City.
Brazil and Mexico are key markets in Latin America for Irish exporters - a region with exports over €1.3Bn in 2006 - indigenous exports to both markets is 79million. Both countries rank amongst the largest economies in the world and are oing through a period of rapid economic growth (+5% - 2006). Future outlook remains bright due to political stability, fiscal management, internationalisation and a substantial emerging domestic market.
As part of our efforts to assist Irish companies to develop business in this existing part of the world, Enterprise Ireland has recently opened offices in Brazil (Sao Paulo) and Mexico (Mexico City). The main function of these offices is to assist Irish companies to get sales and to identify growth sectors. For 2008 the following sectors have been identified:
- Educational Services
- Telecommunications
- Agricultural Equipment and Food Processing Technologies
- Aerospace Technologies
- Financial Markets
- Oil & Gas
In order to help Irish companies capitalise on the growing opportunities for Brazil and Mexico, Enterprise Ireland is organising a Business Mission to Brazil and Mexico. It will take place from 26th - 30th May, 2008 and will be led by Minister Micheál Martin, T.D. and Frank Ryan, Chief Executive Officer, Enterprise Ireland.
The mission will include Irish companies active in the market and those who have included Brazil and Mexico in their business development strategy for 2008. The business mission is an ideal opportunity to get government level endorsement and strengthen relationships with existing partners and clients.
