The Innovation Partnership Initiative
This scheme offers financial support to companies who engage in collaborative research projects with Irish universities and institutes of technology. Enterprise Ireland provides grants of up to 80% towards eligible costs.

FP7 - The European Framework Programme
FP7 is 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development in Europe. The programme has a total budget of over €50 billion, covering the period 2007 until 2013, and there are many opportunities for Irish companies to benefit by participating in and co-ordinating projects.

Advice on patenting and managing intellectual property
Enterprise Ireland provides intellectual property advice to both companies and publicly-funded researchers, on the protection, development and commercialisation of patentable technology. In certain cases, the agency may also provide financial assistance with the cost of patenting.
