We can provide financial support towards the cost of establishing, growing and expanding your HPSU, typically through a mix of grants and co-investment.

1. Grants

Funding under our Exploring New Opportunities initiative helps you to fully explore your HPSU proposition. If eligible you can access grants that will help in challenging and validating your idea, and in developing it from concept into a commercially sound business plan. This includes grants for feasibility studies, recruitment of a key person, market research, consultancy and participation in trade fairs.

2. Co-Investment

We can consider co-investing in HPSUs that have investor-ready business plans. We decide on the investment amount after a business plan assessment that examines the:

• Growth potential of the HPSU;
• Value to the Irish economy in the number and quality of jobs and exports created;
• Level of risk, quality and innovative qualities of the business plan;
• Achievement of previous milestones or investment targets.

You should aware that we expect entrepreneurs to provide a financial contribution to their HPSU from their own resources, such as venture capital or private funds.
