Enterprise Ireland provides assistance to companies that is tailored to meet their needs according to their stage of development. Where are you in terms of your business development plans?

Are you at the Pre-Incorporation or Pre-Commercialisation Phase?

  • The 'idea stage'
  • Partially developed business plan
  • Some team members but not all aspects covered
  • Sales projections
  • Unclear about markets

If so, Enterprise Ireland may:

  • Help you vet and validate your project idea
  • Challenge you in your plans
  • Provide an indication of likely Enterprise Ireland support (non financial and financial)
  • Suggest further sources of information
  • Refer you to other sources of assistance if appropriate

Is your business newly established?

  • Business plan written
  • Technology protected
  • Markets / customers identified
  • Seeking finance

If so, Enterprise Ireland can:

  • Agree with you an overall strategic direction
  • Co-ordinate overseas offices, sources of third party finance, patents, innovation partners etc.
  • Help you to build your team capabilities
  • Advise you on workshops/seminars on key issues of interest

Are you in the Investment Phase?

  • Sources of finance identified
  • Business plan written

If so, Enterprise Ireland can:

  • Carry out due diligence involving commercial evaluation if appropriate
  • Engage with our legal Department
  • Assist you in writing and presenting an Investment Proposal
  • Assign legal, equity and commercial evaluation teams to you
