Campus Business Incubation

Enterprise Ireland's Campus Business Incubation programme supports both the companies that become occupants of the centres and the Research Performing Organisations that host them.

Information on Enterprise Ireland's call for Expressions of Interest from Institutes of Technology that wish to apply for funding under the campus incubation centre extension round can be found at the end of this page.

Potential occupants

  • Are you starting a technology-based business with strong potential to grow and to export?
  • Does building a relationship with a higher education institution form part of your planned strategic development?
  • Are you looking for a supportive environment in which to develop your enterprise and to foster links with academic research and technology partners?

If this sounds like you, locating in one of the campus incubation centres across Ireland supported by Enterprise Ireland (with assistance from the European Regional Development Fund) may be the critical next step for you.

These centres can provide an ideal environment for companies such as yours with access to:

  • Mentoring on key aspects of business development, including market research,
    finance and R&D commercialisation
  • The research and technological expertise of the host institution
  • A prestigious address with high quality office space
  • R&D facilities on campus
  • A pool of students for placements

Spending a couple of years in a campus incubation centre may be precisely what your enterprise at its particular stage of development needs to become sustainable before you move out, and on, to even greater success.

If you are interested in locating in one of the business incubation centres, please contact them directly - just click here for details of centre locations and contact details.
