What is it?

Technology Development phase of the Commercialisation Fund - funds research aimed at major technology development around platform technologies or groups of products built around a new technology. The underlying technologies must be sound and there should be an identifiable market.

How can we help?

The fund supports research in areas of technology of medium term interest to industry in Ireland leading to technologies, products or processes that can provide the basis of new businesses in Ireland or can improve the competitiveness of industry in Ireland through licensing agreements.

The Technology Development grants are subject to the terms of a grant agreement between the host institution and Enterprise Ireland.  They cover 100% of all eligible costs (e.g. personnel, equipment, material and travel).  Grants of €100k to €400k may be awarded for 18-36 months.

If you are making an application, you are advised to read the Guidebook for Applicants and Evaluators 2008  before filling out and completing the CFTD Application Form 2008 .  You are also advised to review the CFTD Assessment Form.
