Funding for exploring new opportunities

Investigating new ideas and markets is an essential aspect of business development – but one that can often be expensive and time consuming.  Enterprise Ireland may be able to provide funding to help you explore new ideas/new markets. 

Following discussion and agreement with your Development Adviser, you can now apply online for the following.

  • Feasibility Study
  • Trade Fair Participation
  • Recruitment of Key Manager
  • Strategic Consultancy
  • CORD
  • Mentor
  • In Market Business Acceleration Programme
  • Market Research
  • Supply Chain Management
  • e-Business Management Initiative: Ph1 Consultancy
  • e-Business Management Initiative: Ph2 Training

Please note: Project ideas must be discussed with your assigned Development Adviser prior to submitting a completed online application form.  You will be required to clearly demonstrate to your Development Adviser the specific benefits of undertaking the proposal.

What support can I apply for?

  • There is a cumulative grant limit within a rolling two-year period for all proposals approved under this category of funding.  For further information, please discuss with your Development Adviser.
  • The grant maximum is based on a percentage level of your expenditure and may be reduced if you have raised funds under the BES (Business Expansion Scheme) or SCS (Seed Capital Scheme).

Do I qualify?

You are eligible to apply for this funding if you are:

  • A manufacturing, an internationally traded services company, or a high potential start up company. Feasibility study funding may be available for individuals or groups.
  • Large companies (e.g. companies employing more than 249 employees) are not eligible to apply for consultancy or trade fair support
