Trade Mission to Japan

Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to Japan led by An Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen, January 2009

Enterprise Ireland aims to position Japan as an important part of Ireland's global strategy and significantly increase Irish business involvement with Japan. Japan is a good place to do business - a mature, sophisticated and wealthy market with very well developed infrastructures and strong business integrity. It is also the second biggest economy in the world and the largest economy - and trend setter - in Asia. Continuous deregulation, globalisation and the healthy state of the Japanese economy are creating new opportunities for Ireland in the land of the rising sun.

An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, will make a official visit to Japan in January 2009.  Enterprise Ireland are organising a trade mission to join An Taoiseach in order to draw attention to the growing potential for Irish business in Japan and to help Irish companies to capitalise on these opportunities.

The mission itinerary will include a press conference, high profile networking business receptions, sectoral events and an economic briefing in one or more Japanese cities. Several of the events will offer photo and announcement opportunities. We recommend building individual meetings specific to your business around the group itinerary to add to the effectiveness of your participation.
Further details to follow. We look forward to welcoming you on this strategic mission.
