Enterprise Ireland administers a community led enterprise support programme - Community Enterprise Centre (CEC) Scheme 2007-2009.  We work in close co-operation with FÁS, the local authorities, the County and City Enterprise Boards and the County and City Development Boards, where relevant, in implementing this initiative.

We believe that this CEC Scheme is desirable because of the success of the previous schemes and the anticipated demand for establishing new centres and expanding existing centres.
