Financial Support

Enterprise Ireland launched new financial supports for FP7 participants on March 7th 2007. Researchers based in Irish companies, higher education institutions and public research bodies who want to participate in FP7 can now avail of the following financial supports:

Proposal Preparation Support for Companies

The maximum grant for this support has been increased to €25,000 (at 50% grant rate i.e. €25,000 based on a total expenditure by the company of €50,000).  Eligibility has been expanded to include all research projects and IDA Ireland client companies. SME Feasibility Application Form (MS Word format. Proposal Preparation Support for Academic Coordinators

The maximum grant for academic coordinators under this support is €25,000 and all research projects are eligible. Eligibility has been expanded to include researchers in publicly funded institutions. Travel Support for Researchers

Researchers based in higher education institutions can apply for a maximum grant of €3,000 to facilitate multiple visits to research partners.  Eligibility has been expanded to include researchers in publicly funded institutions.Travel Support Scheme (MS Word format: Size 130KB)

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Imelda Lambkin, Director of the Irish FP7 National Support Network said, “Now that the supports for researchers are more accessible, flexible and valuable, I am confident that even more people will be motivated to take part in FP7. Our network of National Contact Points is on hand to assist potential participants access funding opportunities under the new Programme.”

Model Grant Agreement

The European Commission adopted the general model grant agreement to be used in research projects funded under the 7th Framework Programmes on 10 April 2007.

This model grant agreement is applicable to the indirect actions under the 'Cooperation' and 'Capacities' Specific Programmes of FP7.
