Enterprise Ireland in partnership with the Institutes of Technology has established a nationwide network of 12 Technology Gateways which:
- Deliver technology solutions for Irish industry close to their market needs.
- Are open access points for industry of all sizes.
- Act as a portal to the wider resources in the Irish research infrastructure.
- Have a proven track record of delivering for industry.
- >1,000 industry projects completed since 2008 with over 450 Irish based companies.
- The total value of these projects is in excess of €13 M with 42% of the total directly coming from industry.

KTI works with business, investors, universities, Institutes of Technology, State research organisations, research funders and government agencies to maximise State funded technology, ideas and expertise getting into the hands of business to drive innovation. Call for New Proposals
New Technology Gateway Network Funding
Enterprise Ireland is pleased to announce a call for applications to fund a number of new Technology Gateways that will specifically increase the regional profile of the Technology Gateway Network whilst also increasing the levels of interaction between the Institutes of Technology and industry in Ireland.
This call aims to add a number of new Gateways specifically targeting regions that are not currently served by the Technology Gateway Network. Funding will be on a competitive basis and subject to the existing programme eligibility criteria.

The call process for the Technology Gateway Network Funding will comprise of 2 Stages:
Stage 1: Expression of Interest
Stage 2: Detailed Application
Successful Phase 1 applicants will be invited to submit a Stage 2 Technology Gateway Proposal.
Stage 1 Closing Date - the closing date for Phase 1 applications is noon, Monday 22nd June 2015. Applications received after this time will not be eligible. A signed (electronic is permitted) copy of the application form should be send to Mark Whelan at the address below by the closing date.

Additional Funding for Existing Gateways
Existing gateways that are substantially exceeding their agreed contractual targets (>120%) are also invited to submit applications for additional resources. These resources are offered to help grow the number of interactions between the Gateways and industry. Gateway Managers should contact the Programme Manager to discuss their eligibility in the first case. Eligible applicants will then be asked to fill out an appropriately modified Stage 2 application form. This is an open call.
