Enterprise START Workshops
If you are currently considering entrepreneurship as a career option, an EnterpriseSTART workshop will help you to understand and evaluate the entrepreneurship process and what it involves. Each workshop takes place over two consecutive evenings and is targeted at individuals with a business idea that has the potential to be scaled-up significantly within 3 years and be export driven. Participants will have the opportunity for one-to-one consultation with Enterprise Ireland staff regarding individual needs. The workshops are practical, interactive and thought provoking. Participants will be provided with comprehensive information to understand the business development process including key success factors and potential pitfalls as well as an outline of financial supports available from Enterprise Ireland and the County Enterprise Boards. EnterpriseSTART 2 “Challenging and Validating your Business Idea”
Enterprise Ireland in conjunction with the four Business Innovation Centres (BICs) - Dublin BIC, Cork BIC, West BIC and the South East BIC – has developed a programme designed to help entrepreneurs tease out their business idea and develop a comprehensive business proposition, the programme duration is over a 6-8 week period. Enterprise START 2 “Challenging and Validating your Business Idea” is designed for entrepreneurs or early stage start-up companies that have a business idea but need to develop it to a point where it can be considered by Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start-Up Team. The programme involves two half-day group workshops and two one-to-one mentoring meetings from experienced business consultants, please note an initial meeting is required to identify suitability to participate. Ideagen
Ideagen is an initiative designed to inspire, inform and connect Ireland's brightest innovators and entrepreneurs. By bringing together researchers, sectoral experts and entrepreneurs, Ideagen aims to stimulate the next wave of research collaborations and market-led business innovations. Presentations by industry experts will be complemented by structured networking, on-the-spot brainstorming and insights into successful commercialisation strategies. Internet Growth Acceleration Programme (iGAP)
The Internet Growth Acceleration Programme (iGAP) is an intensive management development programme aimed exclusively at high potential internet companies. iGAP equips managers within the Irish internet industry with the practical tools needed to formulate aggressive international growth plans and scale their businesses. iGAP incorporates practical learning from world-class facilitators, is delivered over six monthly modules and covers fundamental topics integral to building a global internet business. The modules are combined with more intensive support from an implementation coach who works with the participating companies as they complete their programme milestones. Ongoing support will also be available from Irish internet entrepreneurs from the Internet Growth Alliance who will act as business advisers.
